Meet the 2025 Nevada Flight Crew

In September 2024, eleven Nevada youth ages 12-16 with a passion for STEM were selected to participate in NAN’s third year of the Nevada Flight Crew. As Flight Crew members, they will receive trainings on public speaking, advocacy, leadership, portfolio building, and event planning. They will participate in STEM experiences, engage with STEM mentors & professionals, and more.

2024 Nevada Flight Crew

In January 2024, six Nevada youth ages 12-16 with a passion for STEM were selected to participate in NAN’s second year of the Nevada Moonshot Flight Crew. As Flight Crew members, they received training on public speaking, advocacy, leadership, portfolio building, and event planning. They participated in STEM experiences, engaged with STEM mentors and professionals, and more. They hosted the Reach for the Stars: Nevada Flight Crew CSI Edition event, highlighting their STEM experiences and the importance of afterschool and summer programs.

2024 Members & Mentors

Flight Crew members are matched with local STEM experts whose occupation, research, and/or interests align with the member’s aspirations. This mentorship experience consists of a series of four meetings to help Flight Crew members gain valuable knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities to support their long-term success in STEM fields.

The Inaugural Nevada Flight Crew
